There are two things that come to mind when you hear the name Kanye West: music and fashion. Okay, okay there may be three… how can you forget his uncontrollable over critical blabbermouth that constantly ridicules other stars time after time? It’s impossible, however we wont get into that today. Most importantly we are going to cover one of the biggest events that NYC hosts every year, Fashion Week.
West got his feet wet back in 2012 when he created a ready to wear line that completely flopped. Coming back stronger than ever, West collaborated with Adidas Originals Collection, which took the fashion world by surprise. Not only did he have a diverse size of models (short, tall, thin, thick, etc.), but also his approach is something that has never been done before. It’s simple. It’s not your typical overboard, embellished, glammed designed ready to wear that would most likely never be worn out a day in real life. It’s an elastic more comfortable approach with a combination of a black and neutral palette. It’s a refreshing new outlook on fashion that I feel is definitely needed in the game. After reading his interview with Style.com, I got a glimpse not only into his line, but also himself. It made me appreciate him more as a person and not solely judge him off the gossip that is always talked about in the media. I think it’s definitely worth a read!
